I have loved makeup and “girly things” for as long as I can remember. During my early childhood my mother used to work as a nurse anesthetist, but she’d always bring home coworkers to tint and pluck their brows. It was the early 90s so you can imagine the skinny minny shapes. I guess that’s one of the reasons I stay busy now. I graduated with a degree in Mathematics and Statistics and was about to accept a job offer as an actuary when I decided I should really just keep working at my small permanent makeup business as that’s where my heart was at. I just never thought a career in the corporate world was a good match for my personality.
So here we are almost 10 years later. I am grateful that I was able to transform a hobby into my full-time job, and at this point in life I do not see myself doing anything else. I’m an avid reader of books, magazines and articles about cosmetic tattooing and dermatology, hence during my free days, people that surround me still consider that I’m working. I try to choose the best supplies available on the market and all products used on my clients are disposable. I order most cosmetic tattooing products from Germany, the U.S. and Italy - depending on which company provides the best tools in my opinion. During the years I’ve tested out several machines, aftercare products and I think I have found what works best for various types of skin I get to work on, but I still keep an open mind to any new products released on the market. The permanent makeup industry is evolving at such a fast pace, that I find it is very important to keep up with new techniques and methods developed all across the world. Do I think everyone will have perfect brows and lips after getting serviced by me? No. Will I give my all to create for you the best version of your brows and lips? 100% yes.
Alexandra's Training
Alexandra has done her initial training with a school based in California. Unhappy with the quality of the training, just three months later she decided to undergo intensive training in advanced techniques held by one of the most popular permanent makeup schools - Biotek - Milan Italy, under the supervision of world-renowned educator and practitioner, Anna Savina. She attended the first Master Class (Pasadena, California) held by makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic with Kim Kardashian as a model and Anastasia Beverly Hills as a main sponsor. She’s also attended a private class with Natalyia Yeremenko on the subject of natural eyebrows in Tallinn, Estonia back in December of 2015. In May 2016 and also during the summer of 2017 she attended the International Permanent Makeup Conference and Championship held in Warsaw, Poland which brought together some of the best artists in the world. Some of the speakers at the conference were: Alan Spadone from Brazil, Alexander Sivak from Russia, Marika Huhashvili from Israel, Daria Chuprys from Greece, David Zhang from Thailand, Yevgenia Aytas from Turkey and many others. In 2017 she has attended 3 permanent makeup trainings with companies/trainers based in Russia, Poland and Romania.
She used to constantly perfect her techniques also by using educational materials and videos from Master Trainer Юлия Розгон. She is also a member of the League of Permanent Cosmetic Providers (LCPC) meeting strict OSHA standards and also State and County laws. During the COVID-19 pandemic most classes attended were online, but has returned to in-person conferences and championships. Because lip blushing has become such a popular service she has attended a 1-on-1 class recently with Lulu Siciliano to learn more about lip neutralization and needle configurations for difficult types of skin and clients with dark pigmentation on their lips. She’s also been teaching advanced and beginner permanent makeup classes since 2015, but most of her availability is booked with client appointments.
